Second Saturday is a once a month arts and music street fest to be held on 2nd Street between Cedar and Pine from 5-8 p.m. the second Saturday of every month from June to October. It is presented by CBI Bank & Trust and The Muscatine Journal in collaboration with the Muscatine Convention and Visitors Bureau. The event aims to promote the arts and culture in Muscatine and to support Muscatine’s downtown.

The Second Saturday committee is looking for musicians, either groups or single artists, to play acoustically during these events, which are entirely outdoors. We have space for four acts each month to play for the full three hours. Space is given on a first come, first serve basis, with consideration to diversity of music. Performers will be paid a $50 stipend and will have the freedom to busk and to sell CDs. In fact, we encourage you to do so!

We want to help promote as many artists as possible, so initially we will only allow musicians to sign up to perform in up to three Second Saturdays in the 2017 season.

Set up for musicians begins at 3:45 (no earlier) and must be complete by 4:45 (no later). Musicians will not be permitted to begin set up after 4:30 p.m.

If you are interested in performing, please fill out the form below! Please feel free to reach out to us at or 563-571-1281 with any questions.

Thank you for your interest!
